Blessings of the Plaguefather - Plaguebearers 1

Well, to cut a short story even shorter at the end of this month myself and a few other people will be descending on Warhammer World for some gaming. For a change I decided I would not be the one without a painted force.

We only need a 500 point force (we will be playing ZM and doubles games) and I settled on something even I could get through, namely a small force of Nurgle Daemons.

So here is the test figure:

Which over the following two nights became the first finished unit...

Fly head is the squad leader.
And covering all of the angles we have the following shots.

Next up some Nurglings.

And for reference, I still hate painting.

  1. Holy shit he painted!

They look great mate. Will the hell brute be painted for this force too? You could use it as a daemon prince.

    1. No the Helbrute won't be in them, pure Deamons only.

  3. For someone who hates painting you're pretty good at it =)

What's your method? Washes/inks over white primer?

Also, love the innards - clear red? The gloss makes a really nice contrast.

    1. Cheers.

No the base colour was Rotting Flesh over a black undercoat. After that lots of different washes.

The innards were different reds then black, red and purple washes before a gloss varnish.

See above for a quick explanation.

When I do the second Plaguebearer squad (after some Nurglings) i'll do a stage by stage for the painting.
