Horus Heresy Weekender Exclusive Bag on eBay for Charity.

At the Horus Heresy Weekender the attendees get given a Horus Heresy bag of some kind.

This year it was a Legio Custodes back pack...

So I don't really need another bag.

It is now up on ebay.

However the main reason for this post is to spread the word, I decided that in light of the passing of Alan Bligh who was such a massive part of the Horus Heresy and Forge World in general I would list the bag as a charity auction. 100% of the money raised will go towards Cancer Research UK.

I did this previously with another bag to raise funds in honour of Terry Pratchett. It seemed a good idea to do it again.

As such please let anyone know who may be interested in bidding and hopefully we'll raise a few quid for a good cause in the name of someone who was both a great writer and a bloody nice man.

The link is HERE.

eBay Clear Out.

Things have been quiet model wise this week, barely touched a model in fact though I have glued one of the Ogryn dogs to a base and spent a frustrating couple of hours sorting through bits trying to work out how to do the Artillery crew figures.

Today though I finally got round to putting some bits on eBay - I mentioned them on here some time ago but only now been able to free up the time (I always list stuff on a Sunday and of late Sundays have been busy). I also had an issue of a lack of boxes, without those I couldn't post them so the auctions had to wait.

So if you are interested you can find the auctions here.

Up for auction now are:
Atlas Recovery Vehicle by Forge World with lots of bits added.
Trojan Support Vehicle - converted from a Chimera by me
Unbuilt Leman Russ
Built Chimera
Medusa conversion kit from Forge World.
Painted Hades Assault Drill by Forge World.

Talking of eBay I have just bought a Hell Talon, missing some bits but then I already had plans for what I was going to do with it...

Hopefully in a day or two I will be able to do a proper update involving models being built. Cross your fingers.

Forge World Open Day 2012 - Part 2

Here are a selection of pictures from the two display boards Forge World had set up Sunday.

The first was a full Zone Mortalis board. It looked excellent and was set up with lots of little dioramas.

They added lots of pieces inside the rooms, some recycled from other terrain sets and some scratch built. Hopefully some of these will turn into terrain they sell (this was mentioned by Tony Cottrell in the Q&A session).

And the IA 11 display board, must admit I only got a few pictures of this one as I took so many at previous events.

I was very good at the Open Day, even with all the temptation I only bought two things (plus a few things for other people).

What I did buy was the follow up to the excellent Masterclass book...

And a Show Only Enforcer...which is now on eBay here.

I am now back to getting pieces built for the coming weekend of gaming.

There is not enough time to do the tarps as I have three Grot Tanks to build, should do a post on them tomorrow...

Looted Wagons 12

Here is the final post on the Looted Wagons (because I don't know about you but i'm getting tired of seeing Looted Wagons...).

I got some better pictures of them this morning in (sort of) daylight.

Looted Wagon 1:

Looted Wagon 2:

For those who are interested they are both now on eBay.

Looted Wagons 11

Right, I think the second one is now finished.

Since last time I have...

...added the track guards...
...done the rear access ramp...
...added fuel barrel and fuel line...
...added skorcha turret...
...added Big Shoota & drivers viewport...
...detailed the crap out of it including a shed load of rivets.

As usual if it was for me I would of done a bit more detailing and added a krewman - for this one I decided to just leave the krew up to whoever buys the wagon. The hatch is not glued in position (hence looking odd in some pics where it wasn't lying flat) so the buyer can either leave as is or stick an Ork or Grot in the hole.

To the pics...

Hopefully both Looted Chimeras will go on eBay tomorrow (I will post a link after I do for those who are interested), but I will get some better pics of both Wagons first.

Glad I've got those finished.

Looted Wagons 10

Again I was tempted to wait till the second Looted Chimera was finished before posting anything, but then I thought balls to it.

So here it is so far.

The track units have been lengthened and the flotation tanks replaced with plating.

Once assembled with the Chimera floor and front piece I added the flooring in and started building the rear of the cabin area. Still need to do the internal sides and do a load of detailing.

Should of got a pic of the underside really. Three pictures isn't much of an update really. Wish I had waited now. Oh well.

In other news my 3D prints arrived yesterday. I shall wait untill the moulds and first cast is done before doing an update on them (hopefully sometime in the next few days).

Looted Wagons 9

Right the first Looted Chimera is pretty much done. When the second one is to the same stage I will return and add a few last details.

The banna pole and hatch are not glued in place. Big Shootas need to be
drilled out.

Simple and straightforward reinforced ram.

The chain and spike arrangement to hold the door closed.
When the lads want out they just pull the spike out of the chain.
Like I said it isn't completely 100% finished but it is close enough to move onto the second Looted Chimera. I'll return to do the finishing details.

Likely things to be done later:
1. More dags/glyphs.
2. Stikkbomb Chukka
3. Possibly firing steps of some kind
