I should of known I had underestimated how long i'd spend on this - 'a few days' was never going to be right.
One of the main reasons is I am still waiting for Wayland to post out an order which includes the part I will be using as the head. Until I get the head I can't glue the two halves of the body together so I am limited to how much I can do to the main body and legs.
The other reason is having to keep stopping to wait for GS to cure...I hate GS.
However I have done some more.
Rough in some areas still, will be sorted later (also note size of pictures make things look rougher than they are...).

He needs a head....
More to come in a day or two.
Love that sculpting so far! Nice use of ballbearings too.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great. I can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeletejust a note but you can easily accelerate the curing of greenstuff with a hair dryer, or just popping it under a hot lamp. cuts time by an order of magnitude.
ReplyDeleteLooks great though!
Not thought of using a hair dryer actually. Might give that a go. Cheers.
DeleteWhat shits me off with GS is how it tries to do it's imitation of "memory foam", whenever you do something with it, it tries several times to pull back or puff back up. It's like dealing with a goddamned 6 year old.
ReplyDeleteYou must be using different stuff to me, I've never had a problem with Gs being that elastic. Maybe you're using too much yellow component?
DeleteI've not had that either. Maybe it doesn't like you...?
DeleteLove the 'molten' tubing. Excellent stuff.
ReplyDeleteCheers for the comments everyone. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteLove it man - really awesome stuff. I am getting my stuff in this weekend and hope to get my Chaos together to play at feast (I want to play horde CSM too because I hate myself hah).
ReplyDeletebut awesome stuff. It makes me want to mess with mine.
Cheers very much.
DeleteI say mess with them, afterall if you can't mess with your own who's can you mess with?
