Bit more done...
Exhausts are in place, though at the moment the Ork bits are just pinned in place with brass rod as I may still change them.
The bulk of the turret is now done as well, as before the cupola will remain unglued so krew can be added if desired.
And with the hatch in the open position and showing the removeable rokkits:
Still need some more work on the turret, more detail, weld lines etc.
Out tomorrow so definately no update for a couple of days.
Not that it makes a huge difference either way - it looks awesome as it is - but did you scratchbuild the turret, or is that laid over a Chimera turret?
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteNeither...under the styrene is the original Russ turret I pulled apart when I stripped the model.
Love the weapons Matt, very orky :)
ReplyDeleteAll of your Ork scratch builds are incredibly inspiring.
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity, how long has it taken to become so skilled at plasticard work?
Thanks very much.
DeleteI've been messing with convertions for a while now but in all honesty anyone can produce good quality convertions with plasticard. It is all a matter or just doing it as you can quickly learn a way to use it. As long as you start with a sharp knife and a steel ruler you will go far.
