Blessings of the Plaguefather - Plaguebearers 3

The second squad of ten is now finished including the bases...hurrah.

Note: I hate painting bases.

But in fairness I hate painting everything else as well.

The guy with the big head and bigger horns is the squad leader, he'll also be the squad leader when I field them all as one big squad.

Not bothered taking a load of individual shots this time, not much different to see from the first batch.

I'll get the bases on the first squad finished and then post pics of the full force.

After that I will look at doing the tutorial thing for them - though this may have to wait till after I am away.

Blessings of the Plaguefather - Plaguebearers 2

Only a quick post tonight.

I did plan on doing the remaining 'bearers in 5 figure batches. However I somehow found myself doing all ten in one go. Hence the delay in doing an update.

Thought I would do a one picture post, just to prove to the doubters (you know who you are...) that I really am painting...

Took me seven attempts to load that picture. Bloody thing is starting to annoy me.

I'll get the last few things done including their swords then get both their and the first units bases done. At that point i'll post pics of the entire force together.

I'll also show the figure i'll be using as the Herald.

While doing this squad I have been taking pictures of the different stages so I'll be able to show how I painted them all. Expect that by the weekend hopefully.

Blessings of the Plaguefather - Nurglings.

I don't like Nurglings.

But the cancerous little buggers are finished.

While pretty much, they aren't perfect and i'll probably do a few touch ups later on but for all intents and purposes they are complete.

As you can see there are five bases of the blighters. I only bought one box set which makes only three, so I used the extra individual nurglings you get with them and the Plaguebearers to make up two more.

I wanted to get a bit more height than just sticking a few on a base. So the one got a rock...

While on the other one I used a Dragons Tooth (which has been vomited on by a Nurgling or two), and it also appears to be bleeding...

And to finish a shot with a Plaguebearer:

So next i'll be building the next ten...then painting them.

Scatter Terrain 15 - Dragons Teeth for Sale

Just a quick one tonight.

While I was mainly working on the Nurglings I did also get the last of the Dragons Teeth based...

Probably a bit over the top. Don't know if I will ever need anywhere near that many tank traps, in total they come to just under 1.5m in length.

In other news I am now offering the tank traps for sale at £4.50 for a set of nine cast in resin...

Have a look at the Sales & Commissions page shown above for details.

Recalcitrant Daze - 18 months.

18 Months.

There are quite a lot of crimes that you'd get a shorter sentence for.

Anyway. Recalcitrant Daze is now up to 18 months  In the last month the follower count hit 200, thanks to everyone who has decided to join and always thanks go to those who comment. It is always appreciated.

So things are pretty busy at the moment. Too much to do and not enough time as usual.

The main focus at the moment is getting the small Nurgle force done for the meet up at Warhammer World in 2/3 weeks time.

The Nurglings are buggers to paint. Unlike the 'bearers which were a breeze.

To prove I am actually doing something here is a (pretty crappy) PIP shot:

After the Nurglings are done it'll be a second Plaguebearer unit and that'll be that for the Deamon force, until that is I pick up a couple of FW things at WHW which will flesh out the force to be an Allied detachment.

But in the gap between finishing the Deamons and the meet up i'll be back on the Karrier which I have neglected for too long.

Though saying that i'll be knocking out the Dragons Teeth as well, should be a quick job to paint them.

Talking of Dragons Teeth i'll be adding them to the things people can buy shortly. I'll be selling them in sets of nine. Don't know price yet, expect something to go up in a couple of days.

Scatter Terrain 14

Dragons Teeth.

So I took all those cast 'teef and started basing them:

So far I have only used offcuts of finnboard to base them. Still got a fair few left so will probably do a couple more strips then call it a day on them.

Plasma Generator.

Well after Secret Weapon Miniatures put the Plasma Generator on sale I naturally bought some. They have now arrived so thought i'd put up some pics.

Overall pleased with them. I will be using some LGS to clean up some imperfections etc but I am looking forward to using them in some Zone Mortalis games. I will probably glue them together in pairs as i'll always use at least two together. I will keep the control panels separate however as I can use those either with the generators or on their own.

Above are very large close ups showing the surface texture of the two pieces.

Next up will be my usual monthly post, followed by the Nurglings which are taking a bit longer to do that expected. They are proving to be awkward little buggers.

Blessings of the Plaguefather - Plaguebearers 1

Well, to cut a short story even shorter at the end of this month myself and a few other people will be descending on Warhammer World for some gaming. For a change I decided I would not be the one without a painted force.

We only need a 500 point force (we will be playing ZM and doubles games) and I settled on something even I could get through, namely a small force of Nurgle Daemons.

So here is the test figure:

Which over the following two nights became the first finished unit...

Fly head is the squad leader.
And covering all of the angles we have the following shots.

Next up some Nurglings.

And for reference, I still hate painting.
